Air Force Aid Society

The Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) is the official charity of the U.S. Air Force and has been meeting the unique needs of Airmen and their families since 1942. AFAS's mission is to support Airmen and enhance the Air Force mission by relieving emergency financial distress, helping Airmen and their families achieve their educational goals, and improving their quality of life through proactive  community programs.

Air Force Families Forever

Air Force Families Forever (AFFF) is a long-term survivor program established to provide support to family members of deceased Regular Air Force (AF), U.S. Space Force (USSF) Guardians and Air Reserve Component (ARC) Airmen and who died in an Active, Inactive Duty for Training (IDT), or Annual Training (AT) status and whose relationship was established prior to the Airman/Guardian death. This includes RegAF, Guard, and reserve Airman/Guardians. Specific procedures are devised to provide support to eligible Next-of-Kin (NOK) through Military & Family Readiness Centers (M&FRCs) at installations closest to where the survivor resides.

and Survivor Care

The Air Force Wounded Warrior (AFW2) Program is a federally mandated program that provides personalized care, services and advocacy for total force seriously wounded, ill and injured Recovering Service Members. (RSMs).

Casualty Services

Our mission is to provide dignified compassionate and humane notification to family members and other designated persons as promptly as possible after a member is placed in a casualty status.  Casualty Assistance Representative (CAR) will provide support and assistance to next of kin or other beneficiaries of a deceased member with claim applications for all eligible benefits.

Deployment & Remote Tour

The M&FRC provides support services to help single and married DoD personnel and families meet challenges associated with all phases of deployments and remote tours. Deployment-related programs deliver information, support and assistance, which foster competencies, coping skills and help personnel and their families deal with mission demands and family responsibilities.

Employment Assistance

 

The M&FRC provides comprehensive services to ensure all Department of Air Force members and their dependents are equipped with adequate knowledge and assistance to aid in their job search.  Services include:  Classes and individual consultations on career planning and personal career development, resume writing, interviewing skills, networking, personal branding, and all other phases of the job search process.

Exceptional Family Member

The Air Force’s Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) is designed to provide support to military family members with  physical, emotional, developmental, psychological, intellectual or social impairments/disabilities. EFMP is comprised of three components who work together to support military members and their families.

Personal Financial Readiness

The Holloman M&FRC Personal Financial Readiness Program's mission is to assist individuals and their families in attaining financial security throughout their lives but especially through the military life-cycle.

Personal & Work Life

The Personal & Work Life Program provides education and enrichment services that focus on helping families build and maintain healthy relationships, strengthen interpersonal competencies and problem-solving skills, and master respective roles, tasks, and responsibilities throughout the family life cycle. Services may be provided in collaboration with other helping agencies.

Relocation Assistance

While moving can be stressful, your stress can be drastically reduced if you take full advantage of the many Relocation Assistance Program services and tools available. The M&FRC provides relocation information, education, and skills development for customers.  The M&FRC is the place to find answers to all of your relocation questions as well as assistance with in-transit emergencies.

Survivor Benefit Plan

If an active duty member has a spouse and/or dependent children, they are automatically covered by the Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) at the highest level at no cost to you. Prior to your retirement date, one-on-one counseling will be provided to make an election concerning the program. This includes medically retirements. 

Transition Assistance

The Transition Assistance Program (TAP) provides information, tools and training to ensure service members and their spouses are prepared for the next step in civilian life. Every year, approximately 200,000 men and women leave U.S. military service and return to life as civilians. 

Volunteer Opportunities

Try Volunteering. You will be glad you did! The Volunteer Resource Program enhances volunteerism by creating a central base resource for volunteer recruitment, training and recognition. 

Voting Assistance

The Installation Voting Assistance Office is open for all personnel at Holloman AFB to provide voting assistance and resources on a walk-in basis.
